Product 02 · Blueprint
The engineering package your team starts building from.
A complete specification and build architecture for the whole system, produced faster than a traditional 12-to-16-week process.
The problem
Creating a buildable specification and architecture can take 12 to 16 weeks of senior engineering time. The result is often hard to trace and still needs more work before it can be funded.
- Senior cross-discipline engineers tied up for months producing the spec and architecture by hand.
- Requirements scattered across documents, with no traceable ID and no single version of what was agreed.
- A cost estimate too rough to take to a budget holder, so the program stalls before it starts.
- Architecture choices made in isolation, so when a requirement changes nobody can see what it breaks.
Once you lock a concept in Explore, Blueprint turns it into the package your team builds from: an 18-section, multi-discipline specification with a traceable ID on every requirement, and then a build architecture for the whole system, every machine in it.
The specification defines what the machine must do before the architecture decides how to build it. Every board, part and assembly links to a requirement, so you can see what changes when a requirement moves.
It is priced per mission, one price however many machines, and creates a program budget covering engineering, prototypes, tooling, certification, contingency and the total funding required.
Mitoma Systems drafts. Your engineer refines and signs.
What's inside
Inside Blueprint.
18-section specification
A multi-discipline specification across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software and more, built from a deep library of requirement patterns, so the corners that get missed by hand are covered.
Traceable requirement IDs
Every requirement gets a frozen, citable ID. What you agreed has an address, not a memory, and every downstream decision points back to it.
The physics basis carries over
The governed physics your concept was judged on travels with it into Blueprint: the same admitted models, the same numbers. Specification work starts from the basis your engineer signed off in Explore, so nothing quietly drifts from what was agreed. And your engineers keep the last word: physics guidance can be overruled at any time, and the decision lands in the trace, not in a side channel.
Build architecture, per machine
The system breaks into machines, boards and assemblies, with a component list, power rails, interface contracts, PCB stackup and a work plan. It is the how-to-build-it that follows from the spec.
Plans when multiple boards are needed
Mitoma Systems identifies when one board is not enough, then defines the additional boards and the interfaces between them.
Allied-first sourcing
Components are chosen from allied suppliers by default, with real availability and manufacturability checked. Where there is no allied source, it is flagged as a gap, not silently shipped.
See what a change affects
Change a requirement and Mitoma Systems shows every affected part of the specification and architecture, then routes each item to the right specialist.
Fundable program budget
Blueprint creates a program budget covering engineering, prototypes, tooling, certification, contingency and the total funding required.
One price, whole system
A multi-machine system is a single Blueprint. The whole system is specified and architected for one price, however many machines it contains.
Why it matters
What you gain.
A package your team can build from
Not a slide deck. A requirement-traced spec and a buildable architecture, the same shape a consultancy charges tens of thousands of dollars and months to produce.
Fast track months of senior engineering
Blueprint fast tracks 12 to 16 weeks of scarce senior cross-discipline work, so your engineers spend their time refining and approving, not starting from a blank page.
Win the budget
The fundable program budget is the artifact your engineering lead takes to the person who owns the money, so the Blueprint pays for the next stage.
Nothing chosen on a hunch
Because the spec comes before the architecture, every board, part and assembly traces back to a requirement, and every change is visible.
Lower rates for 5+ missions and annual commitments. Requires an active Explore subscription.
Proof in the product
The package an engineer can build from.
A consultancy spec plus architecture package is commonly tens of thousands of dollars and months of work. Blueprint delivers the same shape as a per-mission deliverable.
